Pisces: Divinatory Meaning

As last sign of the Zodiac, Pisces is ready to retreat from the world. The two fish represent the Personality and the Soul. Either the Personality is captured by the Soul or the Soul is made captive by the Personality, bringing suffering to the native.

Extremely sensitive, these natives’ emotions run strong and deep. Pisceans tend to withdraw into a dream world where their qualities can bring mental satisfaction and sometimes. They pick up on vibrations around them and it is important to surround them with only positive things and people (important to remember if you have Pisces children). Outside negativity can get so threatening, the unevolved with turn to drugs and/or alcohol. This exposes them even more to negative forces and possessions are possible.

Pisceans need "alone time" and this also gives them a chance to recharge their batteries. They need to get away from the chaos of the world, to connect with their true spiritual being. An Inferiority complex can dog them because their feelings can be easily hurt and this may be taken personally. Even when they cannot express themselves creatively, they have a greater than average instinct for, and love of, beauty in art and nature. Though, only a spiritual orientation will bring peace. When they are true to their nature, they are the compassionate servants of mankind.

Pisces rules the feet, toes, the lymphatic system, and the spleen in its lymphatic role in the physical body. Also, the left eye of the male and right eye of the female. Being ruled by Neptune, the body is very sensitive to drugs. It is common that a Pisces needs less of a dosage than other signs. Neptune also can make ailments hard to diagnose.

Pisces completes the astrological cycle that begins with Aries. It is Central Column of the water signs, and is controlled by two planets, Jupiter and Neptune.

Jupiter controls two signs: Pisces and Sagittarius. These two months, Adar and Kislev, are characterized by the tremendous miracles that took place because of the energy of Jupiter. Sagittarius marks the miracles of Chanukah. Adar coined the miracle of Purim, created by Esther, Mordechai, and the unity between the Jews in Shushan, Persia. Mutable signs are concerned with changing things or moving onto something new because of boredom. The emphasis is on adaptability in the sense that while the fixed signs resist change, the mutable signs accept it — to the point of lacking a fixity of purpose and picking a path. Pisces: Pisces can be the most agreeable sign in the zodiac, mainly because they hate confrontation. People with a strong Pisces emphasis in their horoscopes seem to agree with almost anyone. If, a few minutes later, they happen to talk to someone with the opposite opinion, they will agree with them too. Then, they go off and something completely different from both. Deep down inside, Mutable Pisces doesn’t want to upset people. In fact, if you complain to a Pisces about trouble you are having with someone they don’t even know, they will start making excuses for that other person. They feel compassion for someone they never met.

Let me emphasize again that this refers only to the influence of this one sign. When doing a horoscope, you have to take the entire chart into account, and there are a myriad of other factors to consider besides the Sun-Sign. Richard Ramirez and John Wayne Gacy, both infamous serial killers were Pisces Sun-Signs, and they showed little compassion for their victims.

The House with Pisces on the cusp will be one of the places in your horoscope where you can be your most tolerant and compassionate, as well as your most imaginative, deluded, or even escapist. Pisces/Neptune can be self-destructive and refuse to deal with reality. The other place to watch for these things is the house where your planet Neptune is located.

This set of signs is ruled by Mars by day and also by night. Considered cold and moist.

Finally, the Cancer triplicity is nocturnal, comprising Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. The rulers of these signs are the Moon, Mars, and Jupiter, but because Jupiter is diurnal it is substituted for nocturnal Venus.
