Taurus: Divinatory Meaning

As the second sign of the zodiac, Taurus represents the second stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. The first thing man uses are his physical senses. What he can see, touch, and physically hold represents the reality of his position. Taureans seek to conserve physical resources and possessively cling to people whom they regard as their own. Scorpio: Divinatory Meaning

Scorpio (8th house) is the Death sign and it is – in terms of the Soul and Personality. The Personality must die and give way to the Soul. It is the only sign with three symbols, indicating the mental, physical and emotional parts of the personality: the Scorpion who would rather sting himself to death than to pass up a chance at revenge, the Eagle who can fly close to the sun (Spirit), and the Phoenix who rises out of his own ashes. Where you find Scorpio in your chart is where transformation and resurrection must take place.

All water signs are emotional, but Scorpions are particularly irrational when it comes to their emotions. They go to extremes, in both positive and negative respects. Mars, the traditional ruler of the month of Scorpio, is the planet and Greek god of war, which makes all Scorpios warriors who have the drive to eliminate their enemy no matter what toll it takes on anyone else. This is the hardest Tikun (correction) of Scorpions – to find the Central Column, control the urge to avenge, and to live, love and let go. Sagittarius: Divinatory Meaning

The symbol of the Centaur with bow and arrow aimed heavenward represents his attempt to liberate himself from his lower nature and become one with the Higher Plane. His fire nature pushes him onward and upward.

The average Sag is outgoing, optimistic, friendly, extroverted. They love sports and gambling, taking chances, pushing the envelope. They are rather superficial in the first half of their lives, and freedom to move is of utmost importance. "Don’t fence me in," is their battle cry. Where a Capricorn will cling to tradition, a Sag wants to move forward. They love to travel, whether physically or in the mind.

Sagittarius is a born optimist; for him everything is always okay and always arranged in the best way possible. Sagittarians feel they can solve all problems and will do all things required of them. When the letter Samech came before the Creator, the Creator told it to go back to its place, which is after the letter Nun, and to support the Nun from falling. That is how we get the word nes (Eng. miracle). The letter Nun created the sign of Scorpio in which the Flood happened, and after the Flood God put the rainbow in the sky as an omen that there never be a flood again.

Sagittarius in Hebrew is called Keshet, or rainbow. This is the rainbow in the sky, an omen between God and Noach a flood would never destroy the land. Keshet is represented by the centaur, the mythological half-man, half-horse figure who hunts with a bow and arrow.

Pisces: Divinatory Meaning

As last sign of the Zodiac, Pisces is ready to retreat from the world. The two fish represent the Personality and the Soul. Either the Personality is captured by the Soul or the Soul is made captive by the Personality, bringing suffering to the native.

Extremely sensitive, these natives’ emotions run strong and deep. Pisceans tend to withdraw into a dream world where their qualities can bring mental satisfaction and sometimes. Libra: Divinatory Meaning

Libra is the only inanimate sign of the zodiac, being represented by the Scales. When the Sun reaches 0 degrees of Libra, it is considered the beginning of the Fall season, the Autumnal Equinox. All Cardinal points are the seasonal changes of the solstices and equinoxes.

In this "Union" or "Marriage" sign, relationships involving cooperation are forged. The first six signs deal with the Self and here, with the 7th sign and house, we begin dealing with the outer world.

Librans too are among the most civilized of the twelve zodiacal characters and are often good looking. They have elegance, charm and good taste, are naturally kind, very gentle, and lovers of beauty, harmony (both in music and social living) and the pleasures that these bring.They have good critical faculty and are able to stand back and look impartially at matters which call for an impartial judgment to be made on them. As Aries represents the need for the raw energy of survival and the Taurus shows the need to physically touch and experience the material world — Gemini is the intellect that man needs to develop in order to understand the universe. This stage is concerned primarily with information-gathering and Geminis never seem to stop collecting it. They need to express ideas and share information with others, but what they do with their information is another matter. The mature Gemini becomes a serious scholar and careful researcher. The immature Gemini turns into a gossip and the proverbial "jack-of all-trades and master of none".

Capricorn: Divinatory Meaning

0 degrees of Capricorn is considered the beginning of the Winter season, the Winter Solstice. All Cardinal points are the seasonal changes of the solstices and equinoxes.

Capricorn, an earth sign, gives a very strong connection to the physical and material world, to world of the five senses, the world of limitations. Cancer: Divinatory Meaning

0 degrees of Cancer is considered the beginning of the Summer season, the Summer Solstice. All Cardinal points are the seasonal changes of the solstices and equinoxes.

Cancer is the mothering, nurturing sign. It rules the womb, the house & home, the interior of all things for it is the protecting and covering principle. Cancer is the most subconscious of all signs. They are like the sidestepping crab, and nothing is direct or forthright with them. There is no reasoning with them when they are emotionally charged, as usual with Water sign natives; and when they feel threatened, they retreat into their shell. Leo: Divinatory Meaning

Leo is the most vital of the signs and has tremendous strength. There is great courage inherent in this sign, but they must temper it with responsibility and self-discipline or they will have many problems. They have a self-assurance and confidence that boosts those around them – and can anger others who envy or want their power.

They have a powerful intelligence and are very creative; have a broad philosophical, sometimes religious, outlook. Those who are devout may become very obstinate in upholding traditional beliefs and will cling tenaciously, but with complete sincerity, to practices and doctrines which liberal thinkers regard as absurdly out-of-date.
